Start Your New Year with Something Yummy

I know everyone is ready preparing their food for New Year's Eve! For those who doesn't want to add weight, here is my suggested recipe and you can add these to your menu.

Mixed Salad with Shrimp Salad

Ingredients:

Apples

Crab

Tomatoes

Bell pepper

Cooked broccoli

Cauliflower

Potatoes

Mangoes

Orange

Pear

Cucumber

Green lettuce

Boiled eggs

Cheese

Nuts

Tuna Spring Roll

Ingredients:

Orange dressing

1 cup orange juice

Freshly squeezed

4 tbsp balsamic vinegar

 4 tbsp honey mustard

2 tbsp honey

½ cup fat free plain yogurt

Pinch of salt and grounded pepper

Olive oil

Procedure:

In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients.  

Tuna spring rolls

1 Can tuna

2 pcs bell pepper sliced thinly

1 piece carrot

1 pc grated onion, cut into small cubes

 3 gloves garlic

Heat some sunflower oil or canola in a non stick pan Saute the chopped onion until brown add the garlic and then the carrots and the bell pepper and fresh onions chopped then season with black pepper and a bit salt.

Place in a bowl and let it cool. Prepare the lumpia wrapper. Use one sheet of spring roll and place in your work surface. Spread around 30 ml or tbsp of filling in the middle. Fold over the sides and roll up. 

Fries spring roll in hot sunflower oil for four minutes until golden brown. Dry on kitchen paper

Put all ingredients together and wrap according to your desired  size.

My Stunning Fashion Creation this Holiday Season

I was so happy indeed that all my efforts were being noticed as I remember it well when I started to tell everybody that I will go into the fashion business 6 years ago a lot of people told me I'm too old already to start a fashion business, fashion is for the young people and some even said don't have a chance to compete with the young talents as I don't have any talent at all !!! And a lot of people were laughing and telling me well good luck. You will just waste your time and effort and money and you won't go anywhere, I’m glad that inspite of all these ridicules I received I still followed my heart then I started joining different fashion weeks around the globe and so happy to have received rave reviews from fashion magazines and fashion blogs around the globe. Recently my creation was also worn by famous celebrities like Ms. Ally Brooke one of the members of Fifth Harmony landed on the cover of Contrast Magazine New York and another famous magazine L’Officiel Latvia used my creation to dress up the cover of the magazine.  Now 6 years later, I have the respect and admiration of my colleagues and I have dressed some important people celebrities and beauty queens and actors and actresses and musicians. Last night my gown won a lot of admiration and praise and it was no surprise that my friend Mhel Pechera who was wearing it, won the best dressed  and was awarded a trophy. It was a thanksgiving party given by the ever generous and wonderful couple Mr. and Mrs. Mary Divine and Tom Austria in Shangri-La Makati Hotel

Suggested Appetizer for the Holiday Season

I always hear people complaining that they gain weight because of the holiday seasons. Of course with thanksgiving, Christmas parties, reunions with families and friends/office-mates so when January comes new year's resolution would always include weigh loss. How to loss my unwanted kilos?

So today i thought of very simple yet delicious  appetizer for you to savor without being guilty of gaining weight. It's a Tortilla wrap with your choice of Turkey, Ham or Lyoner or Salmon - this is yummy and you can prepare for your self , family and friends.

Ingredients:

Tortilla Wrap with the choice of Turkey, Ham or Lyoner


Wrap (Spinach wrap, Tortilla wrap, Natural wrap
Cream cheese (seasoned with pepper, pickle and salt)
2 pcs Carrots peeled and grated
Salad Lettuce
2 bell peppers (thinly sliced)
1 cucumber (peeled and thinly sliced)
Pineapple tidbits
Alfalfa sprouts
Your choice of turkey ham, lyoner

Holiday Greetings from Dr. Joyce Penas Pilarsky

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous happy new year, I am packing my gifts to give to my friends and to some other people who would really be very happy receiving  these gifts. We have a long list of places to visit and children and families to give away these groceries. I have started these long nights of packing as my list is really long and I thank and praise God for all these blessings which I am able to share with others in my own small way I am able to make other people happy because I believe that God is using each and everyone of us to be a blessing to others!!!

With the help of our cute dog Gucci who is also watching the packing  of the gifts she is looking at the canned goods saying yummy to himself !!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who are supporting me all my life and i'm praying that God will touch the heart of those people who did me wrong! You know who you are! God will take care of you and i believe there is a "KARMA". In-spite of all the fraud, deceit and all the wrong doings from other people that i experienced i'm still doing good because God is not sleeping and he sees our heart in everything we do.
